Making a (mess of a) map
December 9, 2008So, I took a stab at adding some of the stuff from all those calls onto Map’s Map (and Obtus’s toos’s). But I didn’t make a list of stuff and I can’t really stand to sit here and listen to all those calls over and over again. Anyone out there make a list of stuff or have anything to add or have their own they’re working on? I’m never really in that area so I’m kinda runnin’ blind, but it’s a start.
Edited! New map showing the messed up alleys and with two, yes two, water towers. and a rogue purple box that I just moved out of the way when i was creating purple boxes and forgot about. heh.
Edited! Again! This time with the garden and the old house and the statues in the park and the crumbled marble.

Heh, what’s at the center of the alleys, out of curiosity? It’s a big ol’ target of dangerousness, eh? Yo, and maybe you and Max should team up again.
What else. OK, so there’s a park across from the library with strange statues. Maybe a temple? Then there’s the church. It sounds like you go down St Feline’s Street until you get on the street with the Museum and go left? That could be a temple. And apparently there’s a safe building down a bit from the water tower building and down the alley on the left.
And what is going on with the entire water/no water issue? I dunno. It’s a magical tank, eh?
And you were by that rock thing when BA found you, right? Otherwise I’d say that’s the altar but who knows.
Right now I wanna find that temple, but it’s not easy, obviously. Someone says it’s up by the Wall but whatever, who knows.
Hell if I know. There’s not an alley across from the library far as I remember. I think someone said something about a park and that sounds about right. And the one by the drugstore dead ends, right. The ones by the museum was and water tower are a no go. Well unless you wanna be some freak’s midnight snack, but that ain’t really my idea of a good time.
Yeah, that water no water bit was fucked up. I didn’t get what was going on there. And one was all “it’s nice modern building” and the other was all “whatcha talkin’ bout willis it’s a brick rat trap.” You’d think they were talking about two different buildings.
Ha! Now that’d be funny! One on each side of the alley.
Hell, who knows. It’d be like “Who’s on First?”. I gotta make up some street names, dammit, because people are all confused.

Red X’s? Does that mean you don’t know what’s at the center, or do the alleys end?
Unlabelled building nearish the wall. ?
I dunno what’s in the center. Could be anything, I spose. Wait. didn’t that one call talk about some garden down there? I guess it’s a garden.
I just put X’s like a do not cross sign. And the building nearish the wall was just a rogue building cause I created too many cause I’m good like that.
Man this place is a frigin nightmare these days… So many locations to keep track of and so much change… I was worried about you as well since I hadn’t seen you in a while, but glad to see you constantly updating our collective knowledge of our favorite place to be… Guess I’ll see you at the aftermath… do try to stay out of trouble my good friend… your presence in the dreamlands is always appreciated! :-)
What can I say, sploit. I’m looking for suspicious crap and that garden looks damn suspicious. You’ve got statues all around it and scary people in it. It looks like it’s at the center of things, too, eh? Maybe BA can plant the disk she found in the garden and out will sprout a Cthulhu plant. I dunno.
That old tower’s still interesting up by the wall, but meh.
Another thing – someone mentioned a “dawn of time ancient” building down the alley by the drugstore? But watch out, apparently the alley dead-ends.
Yeah, that’s definitely something. I think we can call that. Let’s call it something something suspicious. Didn’t someone say somthing about a lake or a pond or something or am I just making shit up in my head? Wouldn’t be the first time. And yeah, I got the “dawn of time ancient dead end alley” bit on there.
Raven, I hear ya man. And what can you say, you know. I mean it’s a fucking nightmare of course it’s hellish but it’s more hellish and you go to tell someone that and they just look at you like whatever it’s just a nightmare. Um, no. Not so much. Stay safe in there. We need all the cats we can get :)
I think someone did. Say something about a pond or something in the garden. With statues circling it? Maybe she needs to put the disk in the sepulchre and the water will drain and the temple will rise like in a video game.

The red dots are the statues people mentioned. They were purple dots once but that was stupid because it was a purple dot on a purple square and you couldn’t see the purple dot and it made the square look like it had a tumah. So. I fixed it and made it red. Mostly because it wasn’t purple but also because it was the first color I hit on the color thing. But that was kinda stupid because red was for the DON’T GO HERE! X on the alley so now it looks like those are DON’T GO HERE! DOTS. And they’re not. They are statues.

wtf dante dude… I got hit by a map making bug I dunno. People were all “oooo maps!” and then there were all these “go one block over and one block down and this alley is bad and water tower water tower not that water tower you got the right water tower?!” calls and I guess I was inspired.
shit mapmaker. no pond. I mean maybe once but not now. So much to tell but I’m kinda wired and that’ll make it not so readible to those not so fluent in sploit which my mother assures me is 99% of the population but whatever. she gets the gist of the email and that’s all that matters, right? And the key to that is to throw an I miss you which sounds more earnest than I love you right before the important parts like:
