The Madlands an MMORPG

Whoa!

I just had the craziest nightmare ever. I totally blame work which means I need to work more cause if I could turn this thing into a game. Shit. I’m thinking MMORPG but not some fantasy crap like everyone else does and no fucking grinding because that just sucks. And no guilds. Crazy, I know, but this would be like the game for the antisocial bastards out there. Basically, people are bad. You need to avoid them but you also need them to talk to you, so there’s some crazy strategy at play. That’s the one thing I kinda figured out.

This isn’t making any sense.

Ok so the game takes place in this crazy apocalyptic sort of universe. It’s a huge city where everything is sort of falling apart. Like all the buildings are in various states of fall down on top of you and all the people are running around scared. The more scared that people get, the crazier and less reliable they get. So like imagine that you’re some dude and as you run into scary shit your character starts behaving all crazy and gets really hard to control so you’ve got to get him someplace where he can calm down but he’s not doing everything you’re telling him to do. You walk by this alley that looks pretty safe because there’s nobody in it really but he decides to go in some building that looks like it’s going to collapse any minute.

And then right before you’re ready to throw the controller at the screen for the game being such a bitch you run into some dude and maybe he’s an NPC or maybe he’s been playing a while but whatever he’s got this info and knows the building is kinda safe so everything’s good right. And you’re calming down and aren’t really freaking out anymore but you don’t know when it will happen again.

Ok, this sounds like a shitty game. But there’s something there. The map is fucking killer at least the part I saw and if I could get the soundtrack to be anything like what I heard in my head. You don’t even want to know. I’m still shaking from that shit.

Fuck why is everyone asleep? I need to talk to someone about this shit before I lose it all. I’m telling you it would be the best game ever.
